Nigeria’s ex-president Goodluck Jonathan had an eventful weekend from when he handed over the baton to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday at the Eagle Square to arriving in Bayelsa a few hours later for a rapturous reception.

Jonathan’s hone state turned up in their numbers to honour a man who they describe as a ‘hero’ and his wife, Patience Jonathan.

Apart from Bayelsans, some friends of the former first family including the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim; Ondo governor Olusegun Mimiko ;former Anambra governor Peter Obi, former Bayelsa governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, CAN President Ayo Oritsejafor, among others were there.
