Pinning Linda down is one of the biggest feats I carry out from time to time, the girl can work!! and when its time for quality time with her family,…its like calling a jordie when corrie is on… and oops…I recently caught up with London Based Radio and Club Deejay and Selecta Sexy Deejay Babylynn and we got to catch up on news and spend 5 mins grabbing some news for y’all…. so here it is…

Who are you and where in the world are you primarily based and where are you located right now?

My name is Linda Jack, Stage Name Sexy DJ Babylynn I am based in London, UK.

What do you do, how would you describe your presence in the industry, what’s your mission?

I am a female disc jockey, a music promoter, a radio presenter , on air personality and a perfoming artiste and I am very pleased that I have managed to get appreciation and recognition in the music industry. My Mission is to get Nigerian music across the whole world and for our style and type of music and entertainment to be accepted fully.

 

How long have you been doing this?

Almost a decade if not more….

 

Notable moments in your career?

My notable moments in my career ……hmnnn…when I performed in front of over 5,000 people at a  carnival in Lagos,and the first time I went live on radio ,and the first time I won an award as the best female DJ in diaspora  back in 2012..

 

What’s the best and worst part of what you do?

Best part of my job is I get to meet loads of different people from different walks of life who are fantastic, talented and bring a lot of good things to entertainment and the Nigerian image abroad and at home.

The Worst side of what I do is that as a female DJ there is still sexism and stigma in the industry and a lot of times its apparent that I am presumed irresponsible and peers assume that I don’t or could not have the time to be a wife and mother..

 

A little about you?

Well, I am Linda, the real me, I am easygoing, hardworking, focussed, fun loving and was born in Mile End eighteen years ago , I am one of eight children and mother to two lovely children.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years

In the next 10 years, I  see myself paving the way to support young women who aspire to  being DJ’s into entertainment and being a spokeswoman for women in Entertainment.

 

What do you do for relaxing/fun/chilling out?

When am not working I relax by chilling at home with my kids ,or going out to the cinema , Ilove quiet time in my bedroom watching TV sipping some Rose’ on ice  :) or sipping on a Barcardi Breezer my favourite chilling out drink

 

What advice do you have for others inspired by you?

I would advice people inspired by me most especially women to stay humble ,honest and believe in their dreams  and not allow anyone to convince them otherwise

To all my fans I love you so much because without my fans there is no Babylynn you made me who I am today with them believing in me.i remain loyal and humble to all my fans God bless

To my haters ,critics ,i will also thank them too because all their criticism and negativity has made me work harder to prove them wrong
