Cross River’s biggest brand is the month-long Calabar Festival, which holds every December. The Jazz Festival however is also set to become an annual event as information from the state government indicates that huge success has been recorded from previous jazz concerts held during the Calabar Festival. Also because of the demand from discerning fun seekers for a jazz event in a more intimate setting
To headline the show are D’Angelo and Eric Benet from the US, Jonathan Butler, South Africa and Nigerian stars such as Asa, Darey, Bez and Burna Boy. The organisers say during daytime, visitors will also have the opportunity to have a feel of the Calabar landscape as plans are also being made for excursion.
