AKOLOG presents new-school rap diva Lil Miss Miss in a brand new one titled Gidi Girl Twerk!

The song which was premiered at the monthly One Mic Naija musical event yesterday (29th June) practically tore the house down when Lil Miss Miss took to the stage to perform it for the first time.

Gidi Girl Twerk produced by Drey Beatz and with additional vocals by Chuddy K, is a bold rendition which directly takes on the undue strictness in some quarters against the art of dancing called Twerking.

In her words, “Twerking is an art of expression, it’s more than just dance. Show me one young girl of this generation who isn’t seeking a mode of expression in one way or the other. So since they’ve decided to shut our right of expression down, I have decided to champion the course of fighting for its freedom… FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION FOR EVERY GIRL THE WORLD OVER!”

AKOLOG will be launching a Twerk competition named #TwerkMania on the 5th of July (in a few days). The competition is inspired by the song Gidi Girl Twerk and the winner will go home with $1,000 and have special appearances in the video as well as stage performances of the song.
