British Nigerian R&B star Dele is proud to debut the brand new music video for his latest single – the uptempo R&B jam “Spray The Money” with Afrobeats sensibilities, which has been receiving massive support from the likes of BBC 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Bang Radio among several tastemakers.
Showcasing Dele’s Nigerian heritage and celebrating the Nigerian and African tradition of spraying money on friends and family at celebratory events, Dele’s “Spray The Money” sees the ‘Diaspora Boy’ singing in both Yoruba and English language, gloriously fusing Dele’s renowned R&B vocals with the trademark Afrobeats sound.
“Spray The Money” is produced by prolific beatsmith Delerious and is taken from Dele’s forthcoming EP Omo Diaspora which is due to be released in the summer of 2015, for which “Spray The Money” serves as the lead single, along with the EP’s title track “Omo Diaspora” which went on to become a big Afro House hit throughout 2014.
The video for the “Spray The Money” single sees Dele collaborating with acclaimed director Alexx Adjei (PPV) to create a fun and vibrant visual experience for teeming audiences across Africa, which also includes a cameo appearance from the world’s strongest football player and AFC Wimbledon star Bayo Akinfenwa, enjoy it below.
