Mr. Vegas was back at Hot 97 this week for the first time since that infamous melt down last year over his cheating baby mother.

But a more happy Mr. Vegas laughed off that incident and opened up about more serious current issues in dancehall such as Vybz Kartel shocking conviction and Buju Banton legal woes.

“It’s mix reaction you know,” Mr. Vegas said about Kartel’s guilty verdict. “Because at the end of the day if someone did loose their life you want to respect their family for that and not because Vybz Kartel is one that we really love and respect as a great artist, but you have family too and you have brothers too. It’s a no win situation.”

Mr. Vegas also opened up about his career.
