A truck conveying sand  today February 6th tumbled from the bridge in Maryland Lagos onto the express lane below. The accident occurred at the early hours of the morning.

At about 6am on arrival at the scene the traffic agencies and other security outfits had completed the evacuation of the truck. This caused heavy traffic which affected commuters as early as 5am.

The truck, which has since been removed by traffic and emergency officials veered off its lane and crashed through section of the culvert and fell onto the express lane.

Fortunately no one was injured in the accident.
