Released on the 28th of October, 2014, by Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records, “Only“ is the 3rd single from Nicki Minaj‘s 3rd studio album titled “The Pinkprint“; featuring additional Rap vocals from Hip-Hop artistes Drake and Lil’ Wayne, alongside Chris Brown, who sings the chorus of the song, “Only“ was co-written by Minaj, Wayne, Drake and Brown with additional writing from Lukasz Gottwald, Jeremy Coleman and Henry Walter. Production credits go to Dr. Luke, Cirkut, HBM, JMIKE and Rock City; this is one song that contains an icy production that sits ominously underneath dirty lyrical metaphors; upon it’s release, “Only“ received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised Minaj‘s rapping technique, stating she out-raps any completion, however, our very own indigenous rapper, Tallest, seems to have likewise done well, as he stakes his claim on theNigerian music scene with this beautiful start to 2015.
