The AfroAsia Week Show Off Runway is a vibrant event to showcase fashion inspired by the continents of Africa and Asia.

This years event willl take place at the UK Centre for Carnival Arts in Luton, Bedfordshire on the second day of the event.

Day 2 – 15 AUGUST 2015 – AFROASIA WEEK RUNWAY 12-7PM

Our Showoff Fashion Runway is for emerging and established designers worldwide who are inspired or owned by entrepreneurs from Asia or Africa

Each designer has a 5 minute slot with makeup and hair styling made available including options for enhanced marketing.

The event presents a fantastic opportunity for designers to showcase their creativity and engage fashion buyers and fashionistas alike with all proceeds from the event going to support continued literacy and social integration community work with Africans and Asians  in Great Britain.

AfroAsia Week is the trading name of AfroAsia Ultimate CIC a registered Community Interest Company, Registered in the UK No: 8738153.

The main focus of the organisation is culture, heritage and socioethnic cohesion. Togetherness, empowerment of women and youths whilst encouraging tolerance, interaction and cooperation between all members of the community.

To achieve this AfroAsia week provides a series of activities and services designed to introduce and to showcase foods, fashion, business, culture and traditions of individuals in Great Britain who are of African or Asian Heritage including provision of literacy and culture seminars engaging members of African and Asian community to impart and teach about culture, heritage and sustainable living.

AfroAsia Week 2015 Showoff Fashion Runway

AfroAsia Week is social enterprise and registered community interest company bringing communities closer through activities to unite, engage and support literacy, social cohesion and celebrate heritage.

Our main yearly event will take place in August of this year spanning two days showcasing business, enterprise, fashion, food and culture ending with AfroAsia community awards.

The event location is the UK Centre for Carnival Arts, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU1 3JA a modern purpose built culturecentric building with a fantastic auditorium where the proceedings will be held and onsite diner/cafe complete with wifi.

DAY1 – 14 AUGUST 2015 – AFROASIA WEEK EXHIBITION 12PM – 8PM
Exhibition of products From Technology, Business & Innovation +Exhibition of Goods From Fashion, Skincare, and Accessories – SELL/EXHIBIT/INTERACT . Exhibition spots are open to businesses worldwide who are inspired or owned by enterpreneurs from Asia or Africa.

Day 2 – 15 AUGUST 2015 – AFROASIA WEEK RUNWAY 12-7PM
Fashion Runway for emerging and established designers. Fashion Designer spots are open to fashion designers worldwide who are inspired or owned by entrepreneurs from Asia or Africa
Each designer 5 mins slot includes access to hair and makeup, amenities and options for further equipment and enhaned marketing. Pricing starts from £99.99

Day 2 – 15 AUGUST 2015 – MISS AFROASIA 7-9PM
Miss AfroAsia is a modest cultural and talent pageant for 15-25 year olds who have origins in any one of the countries in AFRICA or ASIA through themselves or at least one of their parents, grandparents or great grandparents. DAY 2 – 15 AUGUST 2015 – AFROASIA AWARDS 9PM
To Nominate someone of AFRICAN or ASIAN origins/descent for an AfroAsia Award, please do so on the website. All finalists will have a biography written up in the AfroAsia Week Magazine.

DAY 1 & 2 – 14 & 15 August 2015 – AFROASIA FOOD COURT
Attendees can sample, purchase, try and obtain recipes and healthy eating guides from our onsite food court which will be available from the onsite Cafe Diner serving foods and drinks from regions of Africa and Asia.
